This image is another documentation of my first shower post surgery. I have actually already posted an image from this photo shoot before, found here: fav.me/d6el1tu
I was unhappy with the contrast and levels on that image. It looked too dark to portray the sense of relief and liberation I associate with this moment.
I was not allowed to take a shower for several weeks while I was in recovery and the wounds were healing. You can see here that my chest was still extremely swollen. It felt amazing to be able to take a wash at last and start feeling normal again.
